National Minimum Wage - 1st October 2008

There are currently three different national minimum wage (NMW) rates, which are usually updated in October each year. The rates that apply from 1st October 2008 are as follows:

  • for workers aged 22 years or more - £5.73 per hour
  • for workers aged 18 to 21 inclusive - £4.77 per hour
  • for workers aged under 18 - £3.53 per hour

National Minimum Wage - 1st October 2007

There are currently three different national minimum wage (NMW) rates, which are usually updated in October each year. The rates that apply from 1st October 2007 are as follows:

  • for workers aged 22 years or more - £5.52 per hour
  • for workers aged 18 to 21 inclusive - £4.60 per hour
  • for workers aged under 18 - £3.40 per hour

National Minimum Wage - 1st October 2006

There are currently three different national minimum wage (NMW) rates, which are usually updated in October each year. The rates that apply from 1st October 2006 are as follows:

  • for workers aged 22 years or more - £5.35 per hour
  • for workers aged 18 to 21 inclusive - £4.45 per hour
  • for workers aged under 18 - £3.30 per hour

There are currently three different national minimum wage (NMW) rates, which are usually updated in October each year. The rates that apply from 1st October 2005 are as follows:

  • for workers aged 22 years or more - £5.05 per hour
  • for workers aged 18 to 21 inclusive - £4.25 per hour
  • for workers aged under 18 - £3.00 per hour
